Early Color Television
Gudmundur Trausti Fridriksson and the 6BK4
From Trausti Fridriksson:
|My grandfather, Gudmundur Trausti Fridriksson, used to tell me that he was a part of the RCA team that made color TV possible. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in electric engineering in 1951 he started forking for RCA. First in development of radar technologies and then for two years in the tube division. I was only 16 when he passed away so I never got any details from him, but included is a picture of a certificate he got when he left RCA for a career in the navy.
