German Television in Occupied France

Television at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games

After Germany invaded France the Paris television station was taken over by the Nazis and changed to the German 441 line standard in 1942. TV sets were placed in military field hospitals so that wounded soldiers could watch programs, usually cabarets and newsreels. Here is an article in 405 Alive describing the German TV broadcasts.
