Postwar American Television

Hanson Television, Leesburg, Florida

Hanson Television operated in Leesburg, Florida from about 1950 through at least the 80s. It was run by Kenneth Hanson, who also operated several other Leesburg businesses, including Hanson Gas Service. He was a pioneer in color television sales in Florida, selling sets from the CT-100 on. The following pictures, along with many television sets he owned were donated to us by the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. These pictures are from a 1952 showing of one of the national political conventions at the First National Bank in Leesburg, and of Hanson displays at the Lake County Fair in Eustis, in about 1952 adn 1955..
