Philco 48-700(click on picture for high resolution image) 1948 - 7 inch This, together with the model 48-1000, was Philco's first postwar set. It features a 7 inch CRT using a "brute force" power supply. That is, the 2500 volts for the CRT is derived from a power transformer, making it potentially lethal. The set was donated to the museum by Ron Kennedy of Akron, Ohio. |
