W8XCLS - Cathedral Latin High School

 

This is from the 1940 yearbook of the Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The school used a television theme, creating an imaginary television station W8XCLS to highlight aspects of the school. The photos are RCA publicity pictures. An internet search found that the Cathedral Latin High School band represented the city of Cleveland at the 1940 New York World's Fair.
