In the 1950s he began broadcasting television in the UHF amateur radio band (around 430 mHz). This rack contains most of his station; a flying spot scanner to originate the video, a tape recorder for the audio, a frequency converter to change the 430 mHz band to a VHF channel to view on a standard TV set, and a monitor.
